About

The founder’s story. The model. The proof.

EZ Build Team exists because a specific problem — offshore remote team failure — led to a specific solution: a managed, AI-augmented development model built and proven on a real production platform before it was ever sold to a client.

The Problem

Years of offshore teams. Years of the same result.

For years, Juan Nino tried the approach that most companies try: hire offshore developers. Engineers in India and Latin America — talented people, competitive rates, detailed specifications. The projects kept underdelivering.

The problem was never the developers. It was the model. Remote micromanagement across time zones does not scale. A requirement that is clear in a Slack message at 9am ET arrives to a developer in a different context, in a different language, twelve hours later. The nuance is gone. The edge case is not handled. The code ships. The review cycle starts. The timeline slips.

Add turnover — new developers re-onboarding to context that was never fully documented — and the compounding cost of remote micromanagement becomes unsustainable. The founder ends up doing the work of a project manager, a QA engineer, and a technical lead on top of running the company. At that point, you are not outsourcing software development. You are outsourcing typing.

The insight that changed the model: the failure was never about the talent pool. It was about accountability and context. A team where no single person owns the full architecture — where the person who wrote the spec is not the same person who reviews the output — cannot produce coherent software at speed.

What kept failing

  • Requirements diluted in translation across time zones
  • Quality inconsistent between developers
  • High turnover — constant re-onboarding
  • No single person accountable for architecture
  • Code review burden falls back on the founder
  • Timeline slippage compounds with each hand-off

What the new model does differently

  • One senior architect owns the full architecture
  • AI agents in specialized roles — backend, frontend, DB, QA
  • Specification written before any agent produces output
  • Review gate before every push to the repository
  • US-based point of contact — same time zone, full accountability
  • Fixed-scope or milestone pricing — no hours billed for rework

The Solution

Replace the model. Don't fix the symptoms.

In early 2026, Juan stopped trying to optimize the offshore model and replaced it entirely. The insight was direct: the failure was structural, not personnel. Any model where the person who owns the architecture is also the person micromanaging distributed contractors will fail at scale.

The new model: AI agents operating in specialized roles, each directed by a senior architect who owns the entire system. Backend agent handles NestJS modules, API design, entity schemas. Frontend agent handles Next.js pages, components, form logic. Database agent handles TypeORM migrations, relationships, seeds. QA agent handles test coverage, type-check, lint. The senior architect writes the specifications, reviews every output, and is the single accountable person for what ships.

This is not AI replacing developers. It is AI enabling one highly experienced architect to produce the output volume of a full team — without the coordination overhead, without the context loss, and without the turnover. The review gate ensures that the speed of AI agents does not come at the cost of architectural coherence or code quality.

To validate the model before selling it, Juan applied it immediately to building EZ ONE Hub — the most complex project on the roadmap. Four products, 55+ modules, full production stack. Built in months. Now live. That is the proof of concept. And it is the product being sold through EZ Build Team.

Timeline

How we got here.

1

2017

EZ ONE LLC founded in Stamford, CT

Started as a technology services company for local businesses.

2

2017–2025

Multiple offshore team experiments

Engineers hired in India and Latin America across several projects. Different vendors, same pattern of failure — requirements diluted across time zones, quality inconsistent, turnover constant.

3

Early 2026

Replaced the model entirely

Designed the AI-augmented managed-team approach: AI agents in specialized roles directed by one senior architect. Review gate on every push.

4

2026

EZ ONE Hub built end-to-end

4 products, 55+ modules, full production stack — built in months as Product Owner directing the new model.

5

2026

EZ Build Team launched

The model that built EZ ONE Hub made available to other companies.

How We Work

The principles behind the process.

Specification before code

Every module starts with a written spec — data model, API contracts, UI requirements — agreed and reviewed before any agent produces output.

Review gate on every push

No AI-generated output reaches your repository without human review. Type-check, lint, tests, and architectural coherence are all validated at the gate.

One accountable point of contact

The same senior architect who designs the architecture reviews every line that ships. No account manager relay. No context loss.

You own everything at handoff

Full repository, deployment documentation, and zero lock-in. No ongoing infrastructure dependency on EZ Build Team. It is your code.

Let’s build something together.
